Biographies ::

*Tara Rodgers* : Originaire de l'état de New York, la compositrice et 
une auteure Tara Rodgers vit actuellement à Montréal. Sous le pseudonyme 
de Analog Tara, elle se produit sur les scènes de musique électronique 
et dirige des ateliers d'enregistrement depuis plus de 10 ans. Son 
travail d'art vidéo et sonore a été présenté à travers les États-Unis et 
le Canada. Ses travaux récents utilisent le langage de programmation 
SuperCollider pour sonoriser des patterns (motifs) de vie, grand-format. 
"Butterfly Effects", une composition de musique par ordinateur basée sur 
la migration des papillons, a été récompensée au Frog Peak Experimental 
Music Prize (06) et a reçu le New Genre Composition Prize du 
International Alliance for Women in Music (07). Tara a été professeur 
invitée au Museum School de Boston en 04-05. Elle a reçu la bourse 
Canada-U.S. Fulbright (06-07). Détentrice d'une maîtrise en musique 
électronique du Mills College (06), elle poursuit actuellement un 
doctorat à l'université McGill. Elle prépare la publication de Pink 
Noises, une anthologie d'entrevues réalisées avec des femmes en musique 
électronique et artistes sonores.

/Tara Rodgers is a composer and writer from upstate New York and now 
based in Montreal. As Analog Tara, she has performed electronic music 
and led recording workshops over the last 10 years. She has exhibited 
sound and video art across the U.S. and Canada. Her recent work uses the 
programming language SuperCollider to sonify large-scale patterns of 
living. "Butterfly Effects," her computer music composition based on 
butterfly migrations, was awarded a 2006 Frog Peak Experimental Music 
Prize, and the 2007 New Genre Composition Prize from the International 
Alliance for Women in Music. Tara was a visiting professor at the Museum 
School in Boston in 2004-05, and a Canada-U.S. Fulbright scholar in 
2006-07. She earned an MFA in Electronic Music at Mills College in 2006, 
and is now a PhD student at McGill. She is editing Pink Noises, an 
anthology of interviews with women who are electronic musicians and 
sound artists.
