    latin matricula (mother)
    1. N.f. to register, list where things are registered, in numerical
    order, the names of all the people that have entered into a community,
    a group, or an organizing system.
    2.N.m. A registration number.
    A serial number.

Studio XX Needs Your Help Archiving Mystery Items
When : Saturday, August 5th and Saturday, August 16th from 12:00-17:00

Over the last decade, have you served on the Board, attended an HTMlles 
festival, participated in a workshop or heard a lecture at Studio XX? 
The archiving team of the Matricules project invites you to join us for 
a virtual walk down memory lane as we complete our interactive archival 
map of Studio XX!

Matricules is an interdisciplinary project of research & development 
aiming at bringing up to date the traces of Studio XX’s first decade by 
the construction of a digital archive – and, at a later date, the 
production of a collective piece by ten artists.

Matricules has entered the second phase of the archiving process and the 
project team has begun sorting through a variety of physical and 
electronic documents to create a dynamic database of the activities, 
people, and ideas that make up Studio XX. As members, friends, and 
co-producers your personal experiences at the Studio are a valuable part 
of our investigation of the contents of the growing pile of mystery items!
Also, do you happen to have any recordings, pictures, objects that could 
be added to the archive of the Studio? Then bring them along!

On Saturday, August 5th and Saturday, August 16th, from 12 :00 until 17 
:00, Studio XX will host archiving sessions for friends and members to 
help us sift through the unlabelled tapes, recordings and images that 
will link the documentation of the Studio’s activities and participants 
who make up our history. Come and watch and the interesting, engaging 
and often entertaining footage of XX since 1996! Your shared memories of 
the Studio over the last ten years will enrich the information available 
to future virtual users of the Matricules database which is set to 
launch this October. Drinks and food will be served.
