Description du poste
La personne qui occupe ce poste est responsable de la programmation, de la promotion, de la supervision et de l'organisation des événements publics réguliers du Studio XX, incluant les Salons Femmes Branchées, les Journées de la culture et la Fête de l'art. La coordonnatrice supervise les comités de programmation réguliers et ceux des événements spéciaux à l'exception des événements du Festival HTMlles. Elle est aussi responsable avec la directrice technique du comité de sélection des artistes en résidence et des coproductions. En collaboration avec la directrice générale, elle rédige les demandes de subventions relatives à la programmation et aux projets spéciaux reliés aux activités de la programmation.
La personne engagée travaille 16 heures à 21 heures semaines (à déterminer)
Plus spécifiquement :
La personne idéale doit connaître les courants artistiques actuels en arts réseaux, en médias émergents et art audio. Elle doit être sensibilisé aux « études de genre » et aux pratiques féministes et activistes. Pour obtenir ce poste, il est essentiel de détenir des compétences organisationnelles, techniques et administratives, mais surtout d'avoir les capacités de développer une mise en marché et une visibilité des activités à un public élargi.
Description des tâches :
1 - Coordination des événements publics et des collaborations
La coordonnatrice de la programmation doit :
- Coordonner la logistique des événements (location équipement, location des espaces) et les horaires de production avec la collaboration de l'équipe et plus particulièrement de la technicienne.
- Créer des ponts entre les artistes, les conférencières, les commissaires, les membres de l'équipe (technicienne, traductrices, webmestre) et les bénévoles dans l'organisation des événements.
- Former et travailler avec un comité de programmation.
- Coordonner la promotion des événements et assurer la communication de ces événements.
- Voir avec les membres de l'équipe à ce que les événements soient documentés.
- Coordonner la rédaction d'articles critiques et le développement de matériel pour la promotion et le développement des publics.
2 -Développement de la programmation
La coordonnatrice de la programmation doit :
- Superviser le comité de programmation.
- Dresser, avec la collaboration des membres de l'équipe et du conseil d'administration, les grandes lignes de la programmation de l'année de pair avec les priorités du Studio XX.
- Développer le calendrier des activités.
- Prendre contact avec les artistes et conférencières pour les Femmes br@nchées.
3 -Artiste en résidence
La coordonnatrice de la programmation doit :
- Déterminer le thème pluriannuel.
- Choisir les artistes en résidence avec le comité de programmation.
- Faciliter les liens avec les artistes en résidence, la technicienne, la coordonnatrice de la formation et le reste de l'équipe.
4- Image publique du Studio et site Web
- La coordonnatrice de la programmation est responsable du contenu Web dédié à la section de la programmation du Studio XX. Elle doit assurer la mise à jour des informations relatives aux événements récents et à l'archivage des événements antérieurs (biographie des artistes, description des projets et des salons Femmes br@nchés).
- La coordonnatrice de la programmation doit s'assurer de mettre en relief le volet critique par le biais de sa présence dans le comité de la revue en ligne .dpi
5- Rédaction de subventions
La coordonnatrice de la programmation est responsable de la rédaction des demandes de subventions relatives aux activités régulières annuelles. Ce travail se fait conjointement avec la directrice générale.

Description of the position : Programming Coordinator
The person who takes on this position is responsible of programming, promotion, and the supervision and organisation of regular public events at Studio XX, including the salons Femmes Br@nchées, the Journées de la culture and Art's Birthday. The coordinator supervises both the regular programming committee and the special events committee (except for the HTMlles Festival). She is also responsible, alongside the technical director, of the selection committee of artist residencies and coproductions. With the collaboration of the general director, she is in charge of grant writing with regards to the programming of regular and special events.
The person who takes on this position agrees to work 16 to 21 hours weekly. (to be determined)
More specifically
The ideal person has a good knowledge of current artistic trends in network arts, emerging media and sound art. She should also be very aware of questions related to gender studies, as well as feminist and activist practices. In order to be selected for the position, it is necessary to have organisational, technical and administrative skills, but mostly, abilities to develop a marketing strategy and visibility of our activities to a larger public.
Description of tasks
1- Coordinating Public Events and Collaborations
The programming coordinator must :
- Coordinate the event logistics (equipment rental, venue booking) and their production schedules by collaborating with the team, especially the technician;
- Create links between the artists and the speakers, the curators, team members (technician, translators, webmaster) and the volunteers in the organisation of events;
- Create and work with a programming committee;
- Coordinate the promotion of events as well as communications;
- See with the team members that events are documented;
- Coordinate the production of critical articles and promotional material, and the development of audiences.
2- Programming
The programming coordinator must :
- Supervise the programming committee;
- Articulate, with the help of the members of the team and of the Board of directors, the main aspects of the annual program which should follow the priorities of Studio XX;
- Develop an event calendar;
- Contact artists and speakers for Femmes Br@nchées.
3- Artist Residencies
The programming coordinator must :
- Come up with the pluriannual theme;
- Select the artist residencies with the programming committee;
- Facilitate links between the artists, the technician, the workshop coordinator and the rest of the team.
4- Public Image of the Studio and Website
- The programming coordinator is responsible for the online content related to Studio XX's programming. She is in charge of updating the information on recent events and the archiving of past events (artist biographies, description of projects and of salons Femmes br@nchées);
- The programming coordinator should underline the critical interests of the Studio via her participation in the committee of the online jounal .dpi
5- Grant Writing
The programming coordinator is responsible for writing grants for regular annual activities. This responsibility is fulfilled in conjunction with the general director.
