The Studio team needs small “crews” to help with moving office furnishings around before and after the event, and with concocting special drinks.

The 5-minute techno-recipe
With a nod to the annual “DIY” theme, at each FB a woman is invited to deliver a technological recipe: whether it is for house, work, art, activism, whether invented, found in a book, stolen — even if it's a flops! It is a trick, or hack, that she claims all should try for whatever reason, as political gesture, or purely for fun.

The recipe can go from the most low-tech to the bleeding edge, as long as someone minimally equipped with a computer and a few electronic tools can try it out. Of course, the presenter/stand up comic has to able to make a convincing “show-and-tell” demonstration — and in no more than 5 minutes! After the demonstration, the recipe file, with photos and instructions, will be made available on XX Web site.

Anyone interested in simply submitting a techno recipe file, without the to-do of “performing” it live, are more than welcome. We'll be glad to offer them a friend-of-the-Studio membership (worth 50$).

The Feminist Electric Shock

To keep its members up to date, and replenish the feminist thought animating it, Studio XX will greet the report of a guest speaker with a marked point of view on current events touching on women and feminism today. This item is also an opportunity to forge new links, encourage participation, and incite action.
