HTMlles8 is on the way! :: www.htmlles.net [17-21 Oct]

HTMlles8 Crowd Control
festival for media art + networked practices
17 - 21 October, 2007
In Montreal

This year we look forward to presenting a provocative program including conferences, sound performances, public actions, web works, projections and workshops on the theme of Crowd Control:

'Occurrences of inclusions and exclusions can be observed when tracking a migrating person, object or concept through time and theory, as well as space. The ability (or inability) to migrate is an invisible measure for the capacity to move. Who/what is able to move? What information is kept and what is left out? What is transferable and what is not? What are possible options for controlling the inclusions and exclusions?'

About
The HTMlles is a bi-annual international media arts festival which explores the various facets of digital technology and the World Wide Web as a medium for the creation and exhibition of artistic works. Presented by StudioXX, the first feminist digital resource center in Montreal, this festival presents an innovative selection of media art and Web art works created by women and engaged feminists from here and abroad.
