Retour sur la tournée des Htmlles en Europe de l'est EXPORT2
(automne 2006 : Belgrade, Sophia, Istanbul)
Présentation des performances, ateliers et expositions des Htmlles en parallèle avec la programmation des partenaires locaux de chacune des villes. En présence de Kyd Campbell, directrice du festival et des artistes.

Appel de résidence au StudioXX [1 avr]
Le StudioXX invite les artistes en nouveaux médias à proposer un projet de résidence pour l'année 2007-2008 sur le thème de la mobilité.
Les résidences d'une durée de 8 semaines offrent à l'artiste:
- un espace privé pour un travail en laboratoire
- un cachet de 750$
- un soutien technique de 45h
- un accès à l'équipement du Centre
- la possibilité d'assister à certains ateliers de groupe.
La résidente bénéficie d'un réseau d'expert(e)s qui peut répondre aux besoins de programmation et de techniques, le Studio offre également un encadrement théorique et/ou critique.
Le projet développé pendant la résidence sera hébergé sur le site du Studio pour une durée d'un an. L'artiste en résidence profite aussi de la plateforme des 5 à 7 Femmes Branchées pour faire une présentation son travail.

Kelly Andres sera notre prochaine résidente (virtuelle) dès le 8 janvier avec son projet TRUST.BETRAY.TRUST [Digital Communication as a Metaphor for my Social and Political Relationships]
« Des interactions performatives quotidiennes avec divers appareils électroniques tels qu'ordinateur portable, webcam, radio et téléphone, vont être expérimentées et mises en ligne tout au long de la résidence formant éventuellement une narration non-linéaire et aléatoire. »

Meta Femmes Branchées : avec AGF (aka Antye Greie) [mi-mars]
AGF est musicienne, productrice, auteure et artiste vivant à Berlin. Journée d'atelier et soirée de présentation au Studio XX, soirée concert avec l'artiste sonore Vladislav Delay (lieu à déterminer), en collaboration avec le Goethe Institut. AGF explore l'insertion du discours et du «spoken word» dans la musique électronique qu'elle combine à des installations sonores, elle participe aussi à des projets d'art mobile tel que Moblab.

This symposium addresses critical questions surrounding the relationship between art and gender, bringing together international leaders in contemporary art, art history, and related disciplines. After the activism of the 1960s and '70s, and the revisionist critiques of the 1980s and '90s, this symposium examines ways in which gender is currently addressed by artists, museums, and the academy, and its future role in art practice and scholarship.

Appel de dossier : HERSAY/In the Mother Hood [1 jan]
HERSAY is looking for producers to host and provide content for In the Mother Hood, a show by, for and about alternative motherhoods airing every third Wednesday of the month from 6-7pm.
Priority will be given to volunteers/proposals that carry on the original theme of the show, however, the call is open to all forms of women's and XX-positive programming.
The deadline for proposals is Jan 1, 2007. Programmers will be expected to air live shows beginning Jan 17, 2007.

We would like to invite women artists working in the fields of cyberfeminism and new media to an open exhibition starting on March 8, 2007, the International Women's Day in the rooms of the Austrian Association of Women Artists, Vienna. The founding of this first artists association in Austria in 1910 was a reaction to the general exclusion of women artists from the artworld and resulted from the first women's movements and its international networking. We see feminisms today for the most part as being depoliticized. Therefore, past forward focuses on the question: how are depoliticizing aspects emerging today in light of global politics?

We are seeking contributions to a special issue of Atlantis focused on Gender and New Technologies. We invite submissions that contribute to an inquiry on how new technologies have informed gender's self expression and histories; affected gender, race and culture; influenced the representation of gender; and changed the way in which gender issues are viewed or pursued.
