Welcome to the Studio XX Lab newsletter. This monthly mailing will help us keep our membership up to date on projects and activities at XX designed for our community. In each of the following sections you will find info on workshops, volunteer opportunities and group projects. Please take the time to read the newsletter and find out how you can take advantage of XX's new media resources. The staff and volunteers of Studio XX wish you all the best this holiday

>>Volunteer Call-Outs The 6th edition of Studio XX's feminist cyber art festival: Maid in Cyberspace is but a few short months away. We need all hands on deck to help with web design, publicity and basic organization. If you are interested please attend the volunteer orientation meeting on Wednesday January 8th at 5:00pm. The Studio is proud to announce the launch of its Community Access Program(CAP). Supported by Industry Canada, the CAP program allows us to offer our i-Mac lab as a workspace free of charge from Monday - Thursday, 10am- 5pm. Come and surf the web, manipulate an image or learn more about making your own web page. As well, we are pleased to offer free intensive intro workshops every other Saturday.(see below) >> Free Saturday Workshops Offered free to the public Studio XX's Saturday courses are useful introductions to the world of computers. >> Open Access projects We are currently looking for particpants for our Stamp microcontroller
project group. the Stamp is a small microcontroller embeddded on a circuit board. It is used for making programmable
circuit projects. By learning to work with the stamp you can learn basic electronics, basic programming and the principles
