15 octobre

Pendant qu'une partie de l'équipe respirait le vent d'est, je suis allée faire un saut à Toronto; deux journées très remplies.

Du 15 au 19 octobre, se tenait la 10è édition du festival autochtone imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts.

Discovering Studio XX

By Jane Moloney, Ph.D.

At the St John's International Women's Film Festival this year, Studio XX seemed to be present everywhere where good things were happening.

A strange tale of connections and overlap.

telematic newfoundland

The massive rock that is Newfoundland is perhaps best known to most Canadians as the place the fish used to be, but its soaring cliff faces and blackwater bays have also played a major role in the development of telecommunications and aeronautics.

Our first stop on the Eastern Winds tour was St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

non-linear blog posts....Qu'est-ce que la f*@#?

we are back in montréal and are filling in the blanks of our travels with new posts that perhaps will seem out of order. While i know this is not the determined structure of blogging, i am struck by the how and why this has come to be. This has happened for the very same reasons as dominant culture history so often has missing chapters and voices; due to lack of access to the tools required to record an event in time, and, due to the demands on the participants to be in the world, not in observation of it. This slippery space is the communication space of today.
