The goal of this course is to help artists gain skills useful in the development of interactive installations. Participants will be introduced to programming with Arduino and MAX/MSP with the goal of creating a project integrating software and electronic circuits.

To inaugurate the Studio's new exhibition/gallery space, we are pleased to host the work of Lorraine Oades from October 22 to November 25, 2011.

Lorraine Oades's sculpture/installation works incorporate time-based media such as sound, video and film in order to invite viewers to engage physically with the work and explore their own creative potential.

• Digital Ludology :: video game design, interactivity and 3D animation with Blender

This workshop will give artists the chance to realize a multi-media artwork wile learning theoretical and practical knowledge of the multiple components in a multi-media work: sound, video, interactivity, Internet, programming software (MAX/MSP Jitter) and physical programming (electronic circuit, ARDUINO micro-controller).

* Dates: Sunday afternoons from 1:00 – 4:00 PM 

Session 1 : from November 15th - December 20th, 2009, and from January 10th to January 31th

Session 2 : from February 7th to April 11th, 2010.

Presentation by Marc Roberge CREO screenwriter, and professor of interactive screenwriting at INIS, in the context of our Digital Ludology Workshop.

After a rich journey through the Maritimes, Studio XX’s TransCanada Pipeline Project moves west to Vancouver to undertake a Residency with W2 / Fearless City Mobile programme in association with DTES Community Arts Network, Mobile Muse 3 and the Vancouver Art Gallery's FUSE.

Studio XX is pleased to welcome multimedia artist audrey samson as its third resident in its 2009-2010 Residency Program. audrey’s artistic practice focuses on promoting the exchange of technical skills between women and exploring the dramaturgical possibilities of remote realtime storytelling, concepts central to Studio XX’s core.
