audrey samson

With a M.A. in Media Design from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam (2007), audrey samson is a media designer and artist working and living between Montreal and Rotterdam. As a member of the genderchangers collective since 2006, she led FLOSS and electronic workshops, co-organized the annual /etc festival (2008) and participated in winter camp, organized by the Institute of Network Cultures (2009).

After receiving a degree in Art history, Nelly-Ève Rajotte began a second undergraduate degree at the School of Visual and Media Arts (UQAM), a program which resulted in a Master’s Degree in 2006.

Stéphanie Lagueux

New media artist Stéphanie Lagueux has worked as Webmistress and trainer at Studio XX since 2002. For the past few years, she has been working on The Sensible Lab –The Social Body: a video and web installation to which the public is invited to participate at: http://www.cliquezgenereusement.com.

She has received support for her creations from numerous art centres across Québec such as Axe NÉO-7, Daimon, Vidéographe, Vidéo Femmes and the Musée régional de Rimouski. She is Matricules’ Project Director, created over a period of three years.

Chantal Dumas

Chantal Dumas uses sound to explore new possibilities for narration. Since 1993 she has been conceiving and producing works for radio as a freelance writer; her “stories” have been heard on public radio and at festivals in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia. She is also active in musical improvisation.

Rickie Lea Owens

Rickie Lea Owens is a multi-disciplinary artist who crafts frolicsome animated bombardments and freaky circuitry. She is especially interested in extending the presence of drawing and gesture in everyday life. She creates animated, responsive video installations driven by audience participation. She also facilitates media literacy & animation workshops. Upcoming exhibits include a coin operated, 16mm film peep show installation in the storefront of LaCentrale/Galerie Powerhouse in Montréal, Québec in the summer of 2012.

elpueblodechina (a.k.a. Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez) Alejandra is a sound performer working with open source tools, circuit building and critical writing. She has taken part in collaborative projects dealing with psychogeography and social science fiction in Barcelona (www.redactiva.org et mapomatix.sourceforge.net), with collective writing and connected performance in Bruxelles (okno.be et www.constantvzw.com ) and with music and performance with France based Spectral Investigations Collective.
