Six years in the making, this global documentary explores the lives of camerawomen in Hollywood and Bollywood, Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Russia and Senegal.
From video journalists in war zones, to major big-budget feature film Directors of Photography, from secret film auteurs in Afghanistan to pioneers capturing historic footage of Mao’s travels in China, this documentary introduces us to women of courage, artistry and a passion for technical excellence.
Camerawomen worldwide reveal the beauty and empowerment that lies at helm of a camera, and why it matters, in a way never seen before.
