Gimp site Description: GIMP is an image editing program which is a replacement for Photoshop. It is useful for making and adjusting graphics and images for websites as well as all other graphical interfaces including print.

Using Pure Data

Pure Data site Description: With Pure data sound and multimedia performers can write interactive programs for sound as well as installations which use real time processing, as always on a Linux station. (Pure Data is also available for OSX) pure data is a free release comparable to the MAX/MSP programming environment.

Learning 3d animation with Blender

Blender website Description : Blender is a powerful 3d rendering software for the Linux operating system. A workshop on Blender would be offered to users who are already very comfortable with learning complex applications. (ie Flash Avid or FInal Cut Pro). A program like blender is useful for making , animations, video games and multimedia installations.
