The workshop, Learning the basics of PHP programming, aims
to give the community of women media artists in Montreal the
opportunity to develop basic knowledge about programming by
developing their math and logic skills. During an intense
process of research and creation at the Studio, PHP –
Hypertext Preprocessor – was chosen as the programming
language of choice for the workshop. It is popular, remarkably
functional, flexible, well thought out and stable. This workshop
will be given on a GNU/Linux system.
Workshop duration: 12 weeks (4 hours\week) March 7 to May
30
A cachet of $500 will be given to each participant upon the
completion of their project.
Projects realized during the course of this workshop will
be presented at a Femmes Br@nchées in 2004.
